Hollis continues to amaze the industry with the side mount revolution. Introducing the new Side Mount System (SMS), Katana is the latest innovation in the line of side mount systems developed by Hollis. While engineered to perform in the most extreme environments, Katana was designed with warm water Cenotes and Caves of Mexico in mind. Nick Hollis has worked with several respected Mexican cave instructors and North Florida cave instructors to sharpen the Katana into a fine tuned diving weapon that it is Curved, slender and lightened, Katana builds on the proven SMS100 and SMS75 incorporating a compact and efficient design all around.

Including a 30 lbs. (13.6 kg), the Katana is designed to reduce size and weight for a more comfortable fit. Two 5 lbs. (2.26 kg) weight pockets with an optional 5 lbs. (2.26 kg) trim pouches are available. The Katana system has an H harness design for adjustability and reversible Inflator & Dump assembly. Primary bungees integrated into to wing to pull tanks upward away from diver's torso and integrated retainers located to avoid overhead intrusion. The harness comes with multiple shoulder, waist and crotch straps, and stainless steel D-rings for rigging and accessory attachment. The harness is made from extremely resilient webbing and has a stainless steel latch-style waist strap buckle. Hollis Gear Power Inflator Mechanism is made from tough, impact resistant plastic with internal components and inlet quick-disconnect nipple made from chrome plated brass. The inflator comes with a 3/8" threaded quick-disconnect inflator hose for attachment to first stage regulator. The Katana air cell is made from radio frequency welded seam nylon with urethane interior laminate.
